Vibe Coding Foundation Teens
Build a planner that fits your daily life.
Collect study tasks, organise deadlines and see what is still open: in the Teens programme you develop PlanPilot, a small study planner app. You turn a clear brief into features, implement changes with AI and check the result yourself.
By the end, you should be able to keep going even when an AI answer is wrong or a new task is not in the example yet.
Status: In preparation. Registration is not yet possible. The lesson drafts are available; content, working environment and assessment will be tested and approved before the start.

Your project
A study planner app with a task list, detail view, form, status, deadlines and filters. Inputs are validated; valid tasks stay in the same browser after a reload. A simulated interface provides suggestions that you can accept deliberately. At the end you add a CSV export for overdue tasks. In a following exam, you work on another, comparable export requirement and explain your solution.
PlanPilot is a practice project for one person. A real connection to school software, shared class management or synchronisation between devices are not part of the course project.
Invented data is used for all exercises. Real class data, other people's private timetables and login details do not belong in the practice project.
Age and requirements
- Ages 13 to 17. You do not need programming knowledge.
- A laptop or desktop computer with a current browser. You get to know the editor, preview, tests and versions in the first learning unit.
- Reading and writing short German texts; code and many messages are in English.
- The consent of a parent or guardian and the access rules approved before the start.
What you will be able to do
- Write down requirements and success criteria for a small application.
- Read, test and deliberately revise AI suggestions.
- Design forms, lists and understandable feedback.
- Save data and catch faulty inputs.
- Explain what an interface does and how errors become visible.
- Version changes, narrow down an error and restore an earlier state.
- Implement an additional feature and hand in the result in a traceable way.
The eight learning units
- Workspace and first projectGet to know the editor, preview, tests and Git versions. Planned: 1 hour.
- Brief and acceptance casesDefine the scope, write down success criteria and formulate a precise AI brief. Planned: 2 hours.
- List and detail viewShow and select tasks and handle empty or unknown states clearly. Planned: 4 hours.
- Data, form and rulesValidate inputs, save tasks locally, implement permitted status changes and filters. Planned: 5 hours.
- Simulated interface and error casesLoad suggestions, handle errors and timeouts, and keep unsaved input. Planned: 5 hours.
- Debugging, versions and safe decisionsReproduce errors, correct them, restore a state and explain the basics of protecting data and keys. Planned: 4 hours.
- Documentation and explanationHand over the project in a traceable way and justify your own decisions. Planned: 4 hours.
- Transfer: exporting overdue tasksImplement a new selection rule as a CSV export and check the result. Planned: 3 hours.
Time required
That makes 28 planned learning hours. The practical exam with your own explanation that follows takes another 2 hours. The times are planning figures; a pilot will measure the actual working times.
How you work with AI
A supervised BUILT IN CLASS workspace with server-side AI access is planned. Personal Claude consumer accounts are not used in the Teens course. Before the start, provider operation, access, required consent, data use and help options for your age group have to be checked and approved.
The AI assistant can explain, ask questions and give hints. It should not hand you an exam task as a finished solution. The final decision is made by a responsible assessor.
Exam and certificate
You submit your project with the required evidence, work on a small new requirement and explain your decisions. Assessment covers function, understanding, traceable changes and careful handling of data.
The BUILT IN CLASS Vibe Coding Foundation Teens certificate is planned. We will only state unrestricted equivalence with the adult qualification once learning objectives, level of difficulty and exam have been compared by subject experts.
What is included and costs
The price will follow after the pilot run. A one-off course price without a subscription is planned: access to the agreed course version, the eight learning units with tasks and project templates, a limited, transparent AI budget in the academy workspace, a final assessment and, if passed, the certificate. Unlimited live support is not included.
We will only publish price, start date and access rules after approval. Until then there is no booking.
For parents, schools and training companies
The course is being planned with clear milestones and visible work results. Teachers or responsible accompanying adults only receive the agreed information. Public leaderboards and publicly findable profiles of minors are not planned. Anyone who needs more time should be able to keep working on tasks without being penalised for losing a daily streak.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own Claude account?
No. A supervised academy workspace with server-side AI access is planned. Personal Claude consumer accounts are not used in the Teens course.
May I use AI in the exam?
The rules are given with the exam. In essence, you must be able to explain your application and your decisions. An automatic assessment alone does not issue a certificate.
Is the Teens qualification the same as Foundation for adults?
Teens covers Foundation skills through a project for young people. We will only state equivalence with the adult qualification once learning objectives, level of difficulty and exam have been compared by subject experts.
